"The Maca FACA"

This drink is delicious, and it was my go-to saving grace when I was trying to kick the coffee habit back some years ago.

1 teaspoon Maca Powder 

1 tablespoon Raw Cacao Powder I like Navitas Organics Cacao Powder  

1/4 teaspoon Matcha Green Tea Powder I like SunLife Organics Matcha 

1 to 1 1/2 cup Almond Milk (easy to make your own)

1 teaspoon raw local honey 

dash of cayenne pepper


In a blender (the Magic Bullet works great for this small job) mix all ingredients until well combined.  Adjust the Matcha Green Tea Powder as needed to keep yourself caffeinated.  I am told that ¼ teaspoon in combination with the Maca and raw chocolate is plenty for most but I am a Full Monty kind of girl… what can I say, I go all the way with the full tsp, The matcha is there to help with kicking the coffee so there is no need to suffer through the transition.  Maca is a wonderful adaptogen and will help you through the change.  Maca is also a stimulant and it helps with focus and mental clarity (and some say sexual prowess- bonus!).  This beverage will give you the pick me up of coffee without taxing your system.  Once you no longer have the caffeine cravings then the tea powder can be dropped, however, I like it.
